Neil started engineering bands whilst at university and went on to set up Yellowline PA Hire in Oxford. Following a sustained period of growth Yellowline went on to become Oxfordshire’s second largest touring Audio Rental Company, working with artists such as Primal Scream, Happy Mondays, Inspiral Carpets, Hugh Masekela, The Sweet,  Mud as well as numerous local bands including On A Friday, who went on to become Radiohead.

Yellowline finally closed its doors in 1990, and following 2.5 years working for a theatrical lighting company, Neil went on to run an Audio Visual Hire company in Oxford. During this time, he provided sound support for a diverse range of clients including Mother Teresa of Calcutta, O J Simpson, Princess Anne and Kermit the Frog.

After  5 years Neil went on to a Production Management role with a leading Production and Event Agency overseeing events and exhibitions for Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Daewoo and 2 pavilions on the Volvo Round the world Yacht Race.

Since 2005 Neil has been providing Freelance Audio engineering and production services to an ever-widening range of clients as well as running a busy audio hire business. His Audio engineering work includes Plenary Audio Design and Engineering for large conferences and meetings; TV links, Outside Broadcast links, Press Conferences and Web Streamed events; Live sound for for Musical Theatre and Dance as well as Live sound for a variety of Musical and spoken word acts across many festival stages.
